Looking for fall family activities near Walnut? You barely have to leave home. Selmi's is about 20 miles north, a straight shot up IL-40, close enough that a Saturday here is easy and familiar enough that plenty of Walnut families already call it their fall tradition. Neighbors from Tampico, Deer Grove, Manlius, and Sheffield make the short drive too.
We're a family farm, four generations in, and we do fall the old way. Come up IL-40 once, and an afternoon here, the corn maze, the pumpkin patch, the orchard, and everything in between, has a way of becoming the thing your family does every October.

Yes. Selmi's has an apple orchard about 20 miles straight north on IL-40 in Rock Falls, an easy half-hour from Walnut, with more than 15 varieties plus fresh cider and freshly made hot cider donuts.
About 20 miles north, roughly a half-hour straight up IL-40. Neighbors from Tampico, Ohio, Manlius, and Sheffield come to us too.
At Selmi's you get the apple orchard, the pumpkin yard & patch, a 6 acre corn maze with the maze masters challenge, Mt. Selmi, a petting zoo, a jumping pillow, and hot cider donuts, all on one family farm.
It is. We keep admission usually under $15. Pumpkins are priced one by one, so just check the signs by the color-dot pricing.
