Why Groups Keep Coming Back Every Fall

Field Trips That Stick With Them

A field trip should be the kind of day kids talk about long after the bus pulls back in. At Selmi's, stepping outside the classroom means seeing where food really comes from, walking the rows, and picking things up with their own hands, all while having too much fun to notice they're learning something new.

We keep it affordable on purpose, because a hands-on fall day should be within reach for every school and every family. And with staff who greet your group and help the day run smoothly, teachers and organizers can relax and let the farm do the teaching.

Frequently Asked Questions About Our Farm Tours

Here, you'll find information on everything from tour packages and add-on options to what to expect during your visit. Whether you're curious about ticketing, group activities, or what you can take home, this section covers it all to help you plan your trip with ease.

  • The main differences are that with the Guided Tour, a Selmi's employee will spend 30 minutes with your group, hayrack rides are included, each person receives a cup of animal feed, and everyone takes home an apple from our orchard. The self-guided tour, on the other hand, does not include these features, but allows you to explore our family farm at your own pace.

  • Of course you can! You'll need to purchase the 'Discover Selmi's at Your Own Pace' ticket for the same day your child is visiting our family farm. For further assistance, please use our contact form below.

  • Yes, each tour package offers add-ons that can be bundled into one price. For example, you can add a take-home pumpkin based on the total group size or the number of people who want one, for an additional cost.
