Looking for fall family activities near Rockford? The drive alone is worth it. Selmi's is about 50 miles southwest, a scenic hour down IL-2 that follows the Rock River through Oregon and Dixon and right out to the farm. Families from Rockford and nearby Loves Park, Machesney Park, Belvidere, and Byron have folded us into their fall for years.
We're a family farm, four generations in, and we do fall the old way. Trade the city for a slower Saturday, make the drive once, and an afternoon here, the corn maze, the pumpkin patch, the orchard, and everything in between, has a way of becoming the thing your family does every October.

For a lot of Rockford families, the drive down IL-2 is half the tradition, the river on one side and the kids asking if we're there yet. Then comes the farm, and the kind of afternoon they'll still be talking about at Thanksgiving.
